Lunch Series: All things School Related: Collaborating to Identify Strategies to Assist Students and Families Navigate Academic Resources

 

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the Collaborative Role: Participants will be able to describe how primary care providers and educational consultants can collaborate to address both the medical and academic needs of children.

2. Identify Key Strategies for Advocacy: Participants will learn key strategies that primary care providers can use to support parents in advocating for school accommodations and specialized instruction for their children.

3. Recognize the Importance of Joint Interventions: Participants will be able to identify signs of school-related challenges, such as school refusal, and understand how joint interventions from primary care and educational consultants can effectively support the child's overall well-being and academic success.
