Dr. Harner played a pivotal role in establishing the first Office of The Parenting Coordinator at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, assisting families affected by separation and divorce. In this role, he helped parents create realistic, solution-driven plans for their children and resolve post-divorce parenting conflicts.
Since 1995, Dr. Harner has maintained a successful group practice in Falls Church, Virginia. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the John L. Gilder Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (JLG-RICA) and has held senior leadership positions at The George Washington University Hospital and Whitman-Walker Clinic. His extensive clinical and administrative experience, coupled with his work with business leaders, positions him as a sought-after expert on both child & family dynamics as well as helping teams pivot toward organizational growth.
