This Training will provide an overview to Primary Care Providers on their role in the targeted cCMV screening process and discuss assessment and management of children who are diagnosed with cCMV. PCP's will also receive an overview on Virginia's Hearing Targeted cCMV screening program.

This is a 1.5-hour training for all Inova clinicians and providers on the topic of clinical practice with transgender and non-binary individuals, with the focus of improving cultural humility in clinical interactions and cultural environments. The recording itself is 1-hour and include 30-minutes of accompanying activities, two 10-minute reflections and one 10-minute video. All must be completed for credit.

This module for healthcare professionals will address the role cultural humility and ally-ship play in the care of patients with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Invited speakers will discuss local, regional, and national approaches to overcoming barriers to person-centered care. Participants will have the opportunity to hear colleagues and community partners discuss their experiences with inequity, opportunities for self‐awareness and empathy, and strategies to improve the healthcare experience for patients, families, and healthcare teams.

The second annual Mid-Atlantic Neurocritical Care Symposium will bring together experts from Inova Health System, University of Maryland/Shock Trauma Hospital, Johns Hopkins University, ChristianaCare, University of Virginia School of Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University, MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, and beyond to discuss the basics of caring for critically ill neurological patients, as well as highlight recent innovations in the field. The conference will occur over two days at Inova Center for Personalized Health (ICPH) Conference Center in Fairfax, VA.
The first day will offer a comprehensive review of the essentials of neurocritical care and focus for day two will be on prevention of secondary brain injury. For those interested, an Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) course will be offered on May 8th, 2024, before the start of the symposium, including high-fidelity mannequin-based simulation.
