Chandrika Balgobin, DO, FAPA, PMH-C
Dr. Balgobin is board-certified in General Psychiatry and Consult-Liaison Psychiatry, and serves as the Medical Director for Inova Women’s Behavioral Health Program. She completed residency at the University at Buffalo, where she served as Chief Resident for two years, and is a graduate of the Consult-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at George Washington University/Inova Fairfax Hospital. She has expertise in Women’s Health, including the perinatal period and across the lifespan. Dr. Balgobin has served on the Board of Directors for Postpartum Support Virginia from 2020-2022, and served as Secretary of the Board of Directors from 2021-2022. She is a professional member of Postpartum Support Virginia, the DC Metro Perinatal Mental Health Collaborative, Postpartum Support International, MONA, and the Academy of Consult-Liaison Psychiatry. Dr. Balgobin is an inductee of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and has received awards for teaching and Consult-Liaison Psychiatry.
