Biography:
A native of Burke, VA, Dr. Liu is a summa cum laude graduate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. As an undergraduate student, she was selected to the USA Today All-USA College Academic Team. She received her M.D. degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School as part of the B.S./M.D. joint program in medicine. Following her internship at Yale-New Haven Medical Center in New Haven, CT, Dr. Liu completed a dermatology residency and procedural dermatology (Mohs) fellowship at the University of Wisconsin (UW) Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI. She was co-chief resident in her final year of residency, then served as a clinical instructor in the UW Department of Dermatology. Dr. Liu was a recipient of the Skin Cancer Foundation’s The Dr. Marcia Robbins-Wilf Research Award and Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award. She has been in practice in the Washington metropolitan area since 2011.
Dr. Liu is board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. In addition to her interest in Mohs/dermatologic surgery, Dr. Liu enjoys playing the violin and piano.
