Anurag Sahu, MD, FACC
Dr. Anurag Sahu is the Director of the Adult Congenital Heart Center at INOVA Health System in Fairfax, Virginia and associate professor at the UVA School of Medicine. He also serves on staff at the NIH/NHLBI as part of their advanced cardiac imaging team focusing on the use of cardiac MRI and cardiac CT in adults with congenital heart disease. Previously, he was an associate professor of medicine as well as associate professor of radiology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and also served there as the founding director of cardiac intensive care.
Dr. Sahu completed medical school at the University of Missouri in Kansas City in their combined six-year BA/MD program. Following that he completed his internal medicine residency at Georgetown–Washington Hospital Center, fellowship training at Rush University in Chicago, and advanced training in cardiac imaging and adult congenital heart disease at The Ohio State University in Columbus. Among all his stops, his favorite was the time he spent in Hawaii, where he was the only cardiologist on the island of Kauai.
Dr. Sahu has published book chapters on cardiovascular imaging as well as a variety of journal articles in publications including the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplant, JACC Interventions, and Journal of Thoracic Imaging.
