Do-Quyen Pham, MD, MPH
Dr. Do-Quyen Pham is a pediatrician and adolescent medicine physician with the Fairfax County Health Department. Prior to joining the department, she completed her medical studies at LSU Health Sciences in New Orleans where she had the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated students and faculty to successfully reinstate the student-run homeless clinics through recovery efforts after Hurricane Katrina. She completed her pediatric training at Eastern Virginia Medical School and her adolescent medicine fellowship and MPH at the University of Washington where she stayed on as faculty in the Department of Pediatrics. In her role as Medical Director of the King County’s Children and Family Justice Center and Director of the University of Washington Youth Clinics (a program serving youth experiencing homelessness), she built community partnerships to expand health services for incarcerated youth and transitioned the youth clinic program to a shelter-based clinic model to address barriers to care.
She joined the Fairfax County Health Department in the summer of 2022 to make an impact upstream through her role as public health physician for the Maternal and Child Health and School Health Divisions. As a Vietnamese-American and refugee, she believes in the power of connectedness and community engagement to enhance health and wellbeing for all. As a public health physician, she strives to be an active participant who fosters partnerships across agencies, institutions, and community members, to expand healthcare access and advocate for policies and practices promoting health equity.
