Sara graduated from University of Maryland with her MSN in Clinical Nurse Leadership. She has been an emergency room nurse for nine years, five of those being with Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. She has a passion for nursing research and evidence based practice, and was chair of Shared Governance's research and EBP council from 2021 to 2023. She now functions as a Nurse Manager in the adult emergency department, where she continues to foster a culture of inquiry and supports process improvement initiatives. She enjoys mentoring young leaders in their professional development and in adopting a mindset that involves growth, curiosity, and innovation.
