Maureen E. Sintich, DNP, MBA, RN, WHNP-BC, NEA-BC
Dr. Sintich serves as executive vice president and chief nurse executive at Inova Health System. Prior to her arrival at Inova in 2017, she served as senior vice president, network chief nurse officer at Hackensack Meridian Health. Her experience also includes serving as chief nursing officer and various executive leadership roles within academic medical centers over the past 25 years.
Dr. Sintich holds an ASN in nursing from Indiana University and a BSN from the University of South Alabama. She earned a MSN from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and holds a post graduate certificate from the University of South Alabama as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received a MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed a DNP at Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2016. She is a certified women’s health nurse practitioner through the National Certification Corporation and a certified nurse executive-advanced through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Virginia Nurses Association and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders. In 2017, Chamberlain College of Nursing awarded her the Distinguished Alumni Award.
She is passionate about the nurse practice environment and the impact that nurses have on the patient experience across the continuum of care. She uses the principles of high reliability, shared governance and partnerships to foster and sustain healthy work environments elevating the quality of patient care outcomes and purpose driven nursing practice.
