Dr Janakiraman Subramanian is a thoracic medical oncologist at the Inova Schar Cancer Center. He is the Director of Thoracic at Inova Schar Cancer Institute. He also leads the research program for thoracic oncology. He has been practicing thoracic oncology for over 10 years now and has extensive experience in the management of malignancies involving the lung, pleura, mediastinum, esophagus and head & neck. He has served as principal or co-investigator for several cooperative group and pharmaceutical clinical trials. He is actively involved in thoracic oncology research and has over 100 publications. He serves as member on the respiratory committee for Alliance Cooperative group which is involved in developing and implementing clinical trials for patients with lung cancer. He also serves as the medical oncology committee for NRG cooperative group.
