Dr. Zhang completed her neurology residency training at the Cleveland Clinic in 2019, followed by  fellowship in Vascular Neurology in 2020. She then moved to the Northeast to complete her Neurocritical care fellowship at Johns Hopkins and joined Inova last August. She spends most of her time in the neurocritical care unit and covers the stroke service part-time. Her research interests are in neurologic complications of cardiac patients, specifically those with mechanical circulatory support devices. She is currently doing research in cerebral autoregulation.
