Daniel Gouger, MD

Daniel H. Gouger is currently completing a combined multi-fellowship track at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in neurosurgical anesthesiology, neurocritical care, and surgical critical care. He works as a simulation instructor for The Johns Hopkins anesthesiology and critical care medicine residency program. His current research interests are in virtual reality and augmented reality applications for acute care simulation-based education.
Dr. Gouger completed a categorical anesthesiology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems with emphasis on trauma anesthesiology and neurocritical care. He received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine with a graduate sub-specialization in Spanish healthcare interpretation and translation, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in medical education and government relations with the American Medical Student Association in Washington, DC.
