Dr Shelley Ehrlich is an Associate Professor in Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology (DBE) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She is both a physician specialized in obstetrics and gynecology and environmental and perinatal epidemiologist. She is currently the co-PI of the TEAM Study (NIDDK-funded R01 DK109956) which is a unique transgenerational cohort study of the adult offspring (aged 28-45 years) of moms with Type 1 diabetes. The overarching goal of TEAMS is to study the long term health outcomes (risk of obesity, insulin resistance, diabetes and renal and cardiovascular disease) in these adults exposed in utero to hyperglycemia.
