Dr. Saeed came to Virginia Heart from Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City, MO in 2020, after he spent 10 years. During his tenure there, he developed a cardiac amyloidosis program and advanced cardiac imaging in cardiovascular magnetic resonance (MR) in coordination with computerized tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET).
He has board certifications in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular CT, and Cardiovascular MR (both in the US and Europe).

He also has developed the Cardiovascular PET/CT program at Virginia Heart, is on the Board of Directors for Nuclear Cardiology, and Chair for US Advocacy for the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. But he only has 35 publications in pubmed.
Dr. Saeed says, “I became interested in Cardiology because of the physical exam, specifically the able to hear. Being able to hear someone’s story about their symptoms, and then hearing something in the lungs or the heart, that corresponded to that patient’s problem was both intellectually and professionally satisfying. In high school, I loved science, but I wanted it to connect with us in a human way.” Today, his goal is to help his patients take advantage of their health in fulfilling ways.
A native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Saeed is excited to be part of the Virginia Heart team. Dr. Saeed earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University and performed a combined internship and residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Texas Houston. He then completed a fellowship in Adult Cardiology at Washington University in Saint Louis/Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where he remained on faculty after graduation before going to Kansas City. He is now finally back to be closer to his family
Dr. Saeed is the proud father of three active boys. He sees patients in Virginia Heart’s Loudoun and Fairfax offices.
