Leigh Guarinello, MPH (she/her) Director of Community Health Programs

Leigh Guarinello, MPH is Director of Community Health Programs for Inova’s Community Health and Health Equity Division where she supports outreach, engagement, and partnership as part of regional health equity efforts. Leigh received her BA from UVA and her MPH from Yale University and has spent two decades in community engagement, education, and advocacy. At the Inova Juniper Program, Leigh developed and delivered trainings regarding HIV, STDs, and hepatitis; oversaw evidence-based prevention programs; developed community outreach networks; and provided consultation to healthcare workers in the MidAtlantic region. Leigh has combined the creative, interpersonal, and technical throughout her career when managing people, programs, and budgets; writing and administering grants; facilitating system-level change; and as Adjunct Professor of Global and Community Health at GMU. In all her roles, she has been fortunate to integrate her passion for connecting people, teaching, and improving health equity.
