Michael Pellegrino, MT-BC, is a Senior Program Manager with GoodTalk, Inova’s simulation-based communication training program. The educational content Michael develops and presents strengthens clinical, patient-centered care by building supportive relationships between patients and team members. His foundation in communication excellence is rooted in his clinical background as a music therapist. Through work in hospice, mental health, and pediatric settings, Michael understands how curiosity and empathy are key traits for navigating interpersonal dynamics in healthcare. As a Patient Experience professional, this knowledge led to stronger team cohesion and better patient outcomes for the teams he partnered with. In addition to his program leadership, Michael supports systemwide inclusion efforts as a leader of Inova’s Pride Team Member Resource Group, promoting visibility and belonging for the LGBTQ+ community at Inova. Michael is committed to fostering collaborative, inclusive environments where patients and teams can thrive.
