Feb. 29, 2024 Peer Support Certification for Peri-Operative Services
Numerous studies highlight the benefit of trained peer supporters for immediate response to the emotional aftershocks of daily work stresses and unexpected clinical events and patient outcomes.
This workshop is intended for Surgery and Anesthesia Providers. The course objectives are to:
1.Review how formal peer support provides care to caregivers and professional integrity.
2.Describe the second victim trajectory and impact resulting from adverse events.
3.Outline skills and tools for proactive and confidential support to colleagues.
