Description:

This intensive two-day course provides hospital medicine clinicians with foundational training in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). Participants engage in morning didactic sessions followed by hands-on scanning practice with standardized patients in the afternoon. The course concludes with a competency assessment to validate proficiency in core POCUS skills.

Credit Designation Statement

The Inova Office of Continuing Medical Education designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 16.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) ™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Physicians may claim up to 16.0 credits in Type 1 CME on the Virginia Board of Medicine Continued Competency and Assessment Form required for renewal of an active medical license in Virginia.
