Program Description
The Inova Schar Cancer Institute presents the 2025 Herbert Golomb, MD Melanoma and Cutaneous Oncology Primer. This Conference will provide an update on melanoma and cutaneous oncology. The format will include a series of 15 minute lectures with an emphasis on case-based presentations. The National Comprehensive Cancer Network and American Joint Committee on Cancer guidelines will be reviewed as part of the lecture series. The attendee will also learn about the latest updates in the management of patients with all stages of melanoma, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, and merkel cell carcinoma.

In Memory of Dr. Herbert Golomb
Dr. Herbert Golomb, a devoted dermatologist, dedicated over 50 years to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he served as an affiliated physician and a leader in the medical community. His lifelong passion for Dermatology began during his internship at Ohio State and continued through his distinguished career, including roles at the FDA, private practice, and the US Public Health Service. He was committed to his patients, his family, and the continued advancement of his field, always referring to Dermatology as the “Queen of Specialties.” We honor his legacy and his invaluable contributions to Inova Fairfax and the community.
