Cheryl Johnson PT, DPT, NCS, is a board‑certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist and Physical Therapist Clinician III at Inova Fairfax Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation. She earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis as a merit scholarship recipient. With more than a decade of clinical experience across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation in Level I and II trauma centers, Cheryl specializes in neurologic and medically complex rehabilitation, including stroke, TBI, and interdisciplinary care in the inpatient rehab setting. Her professional roles have included Neurological Team Lead, Interim Clinical Education Coordinator, and Credentialed Clinical Instructor, with extensive involvement in staff education, quality improvement, IRF‑PAI accuracy, and nursing‑therapy collaboration. Cheryl has received multiple teaching and service awards, including the George Washington University Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award and Inova Healthcare System DAISY and PEACH recognitions.
