Krisztina Ware, OTR/L, OTD, BCPR, CNS
Krisztina Ware, OTD, OTR/L, brings more than 23 years of experience as a dedicated and highly skilled occupational therapist specializing in the treatment of brain injury, stroke, and complex neurological and orthopedic conditions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy with Honors from Howard University and later completed her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree at Creighton University.
Licensed in both Virginia and Maryland, Krisztina holds multiple advanced certifications that reflect her deep commitment to clinical excellence. She has completed a Post-Graduate Certification in Low Vision from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is Board Certified in Low Vision and Physical Rehabilitation through the American Occupational Therapy Association. In addition, she is a Certified Neuro Specialist and an active member of the professional community.
Krisztina’s clinical approach integrates a broad range of evidence-based techniques, including neurodevelopmental treatment, vision rehabilitation, electrical stimulation and manual therapy. She is known for her holistic, client-centered philosophy, focusing on the whole person to promote motor and sensory recovery while helping individuals regain independence and meaningful participation in daily life.
In addition to her clinical work, Krisztina serves as a Clinical Rehab Specialist, where she mentors and guides fellow clinicians in developing their clinical skills and becoming well-rounded practitioners. She actively promotes the integration of evidence-based practice and contributes to program development to enhance the quality and effectiveness of rehabilitation services. She is also a Program Co-Coordinator for the AOTA Fellowship and a co-organizer of a rehabilitation RN and clinical technician education series, where she presents and shares her expertise. Her commitment to education and mentorship reflects her dedication to advancing the field and supporting the growth of healthcare professionals.
A strong advocate for collaborative care, Krisztina works closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create individualized treatment plans that support recovery and optimize functional outcomes.
