Objectives:

• What to do in the trauma bay when the patient states they are JW and does not wish to receive blood (but they are in hemorrhagic shock)- and what happens if they do receive without us knowing?
• Managing the JW patient in the OR, and the preservation of blood (for both the trauma and non-trauma patients)
• Postoperatively, evidence-based practices to manage blood loss
• Do we do anything different for routine blood draws for the JW patient 
• New technologies/therapies out there for these patients
