• To provide data on the neurological risks during spinal deformity surgery.
• To discuss how Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) techniques are used to prevent and treat neurologic complications intraoperatively.
• To present a novel preoperative risk factor scoring system of IONM loss and neurological decline following spinal deformity surgery.
