Series Description

The purpose of the gastrointestinal oncology multidisciplinary care planning meeting (CPM) is to discuss patients and formulate care plans in advance of the weekly multidisciplinary clinic. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice including up-to-date guidelines for the management of patients with gastrointestinal cancer. The CPM is a teaching conference that includes students, residents, and oncology fellows and aims to enhance practice-based medicine and lifelong learning skills of all participants.

The Medical Society of Virginia is a member of the Southern States CME Collaborative, an ACCME Recognized Accreditor. Inova Health System Office of Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the Southern States CME Collaborative to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation Statement

The Inova Office of Continuing Medical Education designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) ™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Physicians may claim up to 1.0 credits in Type 1 CME on the Virginia Board of Medicine Continued Competency and Assessment Form required for renewal of an active medical license in Virginia.

ABS Designation Statement:

Successful completion of this CME activity enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME requirement(s) of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
