Lama Khatib
Lama Khatib is a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon who joined Inova as an assistant professor in 2025.
After completing her residency at the American University of Beirut in Ophthalmology, she pursued her first fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Canter and the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, and then her second fellowship in Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with main focus on pediatric oculoplastics. She went on to practice at the Clemenceau Medical Center affiliated with Johns Hopkins International in Beirut, and then took the position of assistant professor at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh prior to accepting her current position at Inova Health System and LJ Murphy Children's Hospital.
Dr Khatib's expertise encompasses a wide array of pediatric ophthalmological diseases, adult and pediatric strabismus, in addition to oculoplastic disorders such as ptosis, nasolacrimal duct obstruction, orbital/peri-orbital trauma, and periorbital tumors.
