Join ILH trauma services and Dr. Jeffrey Shupp, Director of the Burn Center at MedStar Washington Hospital Center for a lecture on Burns.

Objectives:

• What really needs to go to the burn center
• What is the most up to date treatment prior to transfer (I remember the days of cold saline gauze and a clean sheet)
• Should we start fluids based on Parkland
• If the patient does not need transfer, but does have a burn- what’s the best method of treating
• What should the follow up be- could we have them come to the Loudoun wound clinic? We do have a hyperbaric chamber in our wound clinic
