John Paul Verderese, MD, FACP, AAHIVS
Dr. Verderese currently serves as the Division Chief for Community Health at Inova.
He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed his internal medicine residency at the George Washington University in 2008. After residency, he joined Inova Fairfax Hospital as a hospitalist.
He worked to develop what is now known as Inova Cares Clinic for Community Bridging in 2012 to support patients needing post-acute services. He expanded his role to help lead Inova Cares Clinic for Families in 2017 to improve access to primary care for under and uninsured populations of Northern VA. Since then, responsibilities have included helping support the Inova Medical House Calls Program, and most recently, the Inova Juniper Program. He is an assistant professor of medicine at VCU and is the director of the Patient/Student Partnership for Inova UVA Medical Students. He also serves as the Chair of the Health and Public Policy Committee of the Virginia Chapter of the American College of Physicians.
He lives in Vienna, VA with his wife and 3 children.
