W. Gregory Hundley, M.D.

W. Gregory Hundley, MD is Professor and Chair of the Division of Cardiology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, and the first Director of the VCU Health Pauley Heart Center. Over the past 25 years, he has been utilizing magnetic resonance imaging and other imaging technologies to study the evolution of cardiovascular disease and congestive heart failure in elderly people, as well as the etiology and early evolution of cardiovascular injury after chemotherapy, specifically in women who have received treatment for breast cancer. Dr. Hundley has over 20 years of continuous principal investigator peer-reviewed extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health and has authored over 260 original articles, 43 review articles and position papers, 20 book chapters, and has more than 400 national and international presentations. He also serves as an Associate Editor for Circulation and Cardiology Today. Additionally, Dr. Hundley has trained more than 55 predoctoral and M.D., Ph.D., and M.B.A. degree holders worldwide.
