Katherine Berg, MD

Dr. Berg is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a Pulmonary and Critical Care physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston. She is the Associate Director of the BIDMC Center for Resuscitation Science, a clinical-translational research group focusing on clinical trials in the ICU. Her research interests include phase II clinical trials in cardiac arrest, with a focus on ways to mitigate metabolic dysfunction in shock and improve post-arrest outcomes. In addition to her own research, Dr. Berg has been involved in evidence evaluation and guidelines creation for cardiac arrest and post-arrest care for a decade, working with both the American Heart Association and the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation
