Jason Bartos, Associate Professor of Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine Division

Dr. Bartos earned his PhD in pharmacology at the University of Iowa prior to Medical school and Internal Medicine Residency at Stanford University. He then moved to the University of Minnesota Cardiovascular Medicine Division where he completed fellowships in general, interventional, and critical care cardiology and joined the faculty in 2017. He currently serves as the Section Head of the Critical Care Cardiology Section of the Cardiovascular Division, Medical Director of the Cardiovascular ICU and the Associate Director for the University of Minnesota's Center for Resuscitation Medicine. His clinical interests include cardiac critical care, resuscitation, advanced hemodynamic support, pulmonary embolus, coronary-artery disease, and percutaneous coronary intervention. His work in resuscitation has resulted in the development of extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation protocols for patients with refractory VT/VF cardiac arrest while advancing resuscitation strategies for all patients with cardiac arrest.
