Debbie Madhok, MD
Debbie Yi Madhok is an Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Neurology at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and practices emergency medicine and neurocritical care at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH), with expertise in the recognition and management of neurological emergencies in the pre-hospital and emergency settings. In 2017, she implemented and managed the Mission Protocol at SFGH, a direct EMS-to-CT scanner transfer for presumed stroke patients which transformed how the city of San Francisco managed stroke patients. She was previously the Chairperson of the San Francisco EMS Stroke Committee and an American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Advisory Committee member. She is currently principal investigator for a Department of Defense-supported study which aims to develop and validate a concussion outcome prediction tool and was awarded the 2024 Academy of Medical Educators Excellence in Teaching Award at UCSF.
