Dr. Dinesh Pillai is a pediatric pulmonologist serving as the Medical Director of Pulmonary Medicine at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia and Section Chief at LJ Murphy Children’s Hospital at Inova (Fairfax, VA). He serves as the Director of the Severe Asthma and Pulmonary Diagnostics Programs in the Division of Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine his pediatric residency at Infants and Children’s Hospital of Brooklyn (Maimonides Medical Center) and his fellowship training at Children’s National. and is the Pulmonary Lead for the Aerodigestive Program at Children’s National Hospital (CNH). He is also an Associate Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences (Washington, DC).

Dr. Pillai graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine (Grenada, West Indies), completed his pediatric residency at Infants and Children’s Hospital of Brooklyn (Maimonides Medical Center) and his fellowship training at Children’s National. He also received his Healthcare Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from George Washington University. His research is focused on airway epithelial immune response in refractory asthma and aerodigestive disorders, as well as remote sensor development in asthma.
