Emily B Nichols, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist within Inova Developmental Pediatrics Clinic, where she specializes in conducting developmental and neuropsychological evaluations in patients ages 2-21 . She joined the developmental pediatrics clinic in 2020. Past research and publications have focused on resiliency and developmental impact of complex trauma in educational settings. Dr. Nichols received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology and her Masters in School Psychology at the University of Virginia’s School of Education. She completed her predoctoral internship in pediatric/child psychology at Franciscan Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital in developmental pediatrics and clinical psychology before joining staff at Boston Children’s Hospital/ Harvard Medical School.
