Amy Dryer, MD, FAAP
Since 2022, Amy Dryer, MD has worked at TPG Pediatrics in Woodbridge, VA providing mental health care in primary care and taking care of adolescents and LGBTQIA+ youth. Additionally, Dr. Dryer is National and VMAP (Virginia) faculty and a Course Leader for the REACH Institute’s Patient-centered Mental Health Care in Primary Care. She is also faculty for VMAP’s lecture series Pitfalls and Pearls. Dr. Dryer has been featured in articles, radio and news interviews educating the public on pediatric mental health and LGBTQIA+ issues.
Dr. Dryer has taken numerous courses with the World and US Professional Association for Transgender Health and has been on the Advisory Board of TransGender Education Association since 2019. Currently, she is serving a term as Northern Virginia Delegate to the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, engaging local pediatric providers in advocacy and educational opportunities.
Dr. Dryer received a BA from Smith College, an MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed residency at Children's National Medical Center. She has worked as an overnight ER physician, a pediatrician at an FQHC and a safety officer at a COVID vaccine clinic
