LGBTQ+ Cultural Humility

Description

This training is for all Inova clinicians and providers with the focus of improving cultural humility in clinical interactions with the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer plus) community.

Objectives:

  • Define terminology relevant to the LGBTQ+ population
  • Identify disparities faced by this population and understand why cultural humility in clinical practice is vital to improving outcomes and disparities for this population
  • Implement tangible skills to improve clinical interactions in work with this population and establish environments to better support this population
