Rob Lawrence

Rob Lawrence is the director of strategic implementation for PRO EMS and its educational arm, Prodigy EMS, in Cambridge, MA. He previously served for 10 years as the COO of the Richmond Ambulance Authority (Virginia). Additionally, he served as COO for Paramedics Plus in Alameda County, California.
During his tenure at the Richmond Ambulance Authority, he worked closely with the Pan American Trauma Society and chaired its Pre-Hospital Committee for a number of years. He also took much pleasure in serving as an EMS leadership mentor to a cohort of Pan American trauma surgeons both during their time in Richmond (VCU) and in their home locations. Rob retains an international outlook and remains an advisor in the ongoing development of EMS in Rwanda.
Prior to emigrating to the U.S, Rob served as the COO for the East of England Ambulance Service in Suffolk, England. He is also the Part Time Executive Director of the California Ambulance Association. Rob’s first career was as an officer in the British Army and Rob is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
Rob is the President the Academy of International Mobile Healthcare Integration (AIMHI) and has previously been a board member and chair of several committees at the American Ambulance Association. Rob writes and broadcasts for EMS1 and Police1 and is a member of the EMS1 and EMS World Magazine Editorial Advisory Boards and a reviewer for the International Journal of Paramedicine (IJOP).
