Dr. Lee Goeddel MD, MPH is a Cardiac Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Physician at Johns Hopkins University studying heart function and acute kidney injury (AKI) using data science methodologies in large patient cohorts and directed patient-oriented studies that utilize biosamples. His goal is to better understand the perioperative AKI disease pathway and identify modifiable exposures to guide management strategies in the operating room and ICU to reduce organ injury. He has published several manuscripts;^1-8 on this topic; presented nationally and internationally; and has received extramural funding to support his multi-disciplinary research including most recently the Mentored Research Training Grant from FAER/American Society of Anesthesiologists.
