 Learning Objectives:  

  • Conceptualize hope as a practice, i.e. “something you do” rather than “something you feel;”

  • Conduct rapid discernment of a patient’s signature strength for mobilizing hope when facing adversity;

  • Design interventions that strengthen hope practices and counter demoralization.
