Shamaila Iqbal is an experienced healthcare leader with over 15 years of clinical care expertise. She holds a master’s degree in nursing administration and a bachelor’s degree in nursing and health science management, both from George Mason University. For the past five years, she has served as the lead spine navigator at Inova Health System, where she has played a key role in enhancing patient care and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration.

Shamaila currently serves as the Manager/System Lead for the Inova Spine Program and holds the position of Interim Neurosurgery Director for the region. In addition to these roles, she continues to oversee the spine navigation program across the Inova system.
