Denise Bonds is a board-certified internist.  Her previous experience includes nearly a decade in academia working on a variety of large clinical trials including the Women’s Health Initiative and the ACCORD diabetes trial.  She worked for the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute as a medical officer for a number of years and subsequently served as the Health Director for the Blue Ridge Health District including during the COVID pandemic.  Dr. Bonds joined PCORI in 2022 as a Senior Clinical Program Officer.
