Eric Sklar, MD, Director Inova Sleep Disorders Program
Dr. Eric Sklar is a neurologist who is board certified in neurology, sleep medicine, clinical neurophysiology and vascular neurology with 20 years of clinical experience. He treats primarily treats patients with a wide variety of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, and also has experience with migraines, dementia and epilepsy. He serves as Medical Director of the Inova Sleep Disorders Program.
Dr. Sklar is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Inova Campus, having previously served in a similar role through the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine at the Inova Campus. Throughout his career, Dr. Sklar has stayed involved in teaching medical students and residents on various neurologically related medical topics. He has also served as the inaugural Clerkship Director for the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in neurology.
Dr. Sklar's goal is to help diagnose and manage his patients’ sleep disorders and related neurologic illnesses while keeping their symptoms at a minimum so they can remain functional in their family, personal, and professional lives.
