Pamela Brandt, DO, MHI, FACP

Pam Brandt is a Syracuse native who attended Bucknell University for her undergraduate degree and Midwestern University AZCOM for her medical degree, completing her internal medicine residency at Reading Hospital in West Reading, PA. She also has earned a Master’s in Healthcare Innovation which she sought in order to support her desire to play a role in re-imagining obesity care. Dr. Brandt's passion has always been treating obesity to improve patients' health and function. After residency she built a medical weight loss program alongside the bariatric team at Tower Health in Pennsylvania before joining Inova Health System in 2021, where she now serves as Director of Obesity Medicine. She brings a comprehensive approach to weight management, drawing on board certification in Obesity Medicine and additional credentials in menopause medicine and culinary medicine, with embedded clinical partnerships across cardiology, oncology, hepatology, and sleep medicine. Dr. Brandt seeks to educate the community as well as fellow healthcare providers through her presentations within and beyond Inova, and to also improve the experience of patients by harnessing technology around diagnosis, access to resources, and promoting appropriate, patient-centered care. She is an elected member of the Epic Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Medicine Steering Committee and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
