Dr. Patel received her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016. She then went to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in 2019 followed by her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 2021 with a specialized track in Transplant Infectious Diseases in her second year.

She joined IDP in Aug 2021 and is very active in medical education. She now serves as the director of the Infectious Diseases subspecialty rotation for the Internal Medicine residents at Inova Medical Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find her enjoying time with her husband, their 1 year old son, and adorable Bernadoodle.
