Andrea Lubeck, DNP,CFNP,PMHNP-BC
Andrea Lubeck works at Inova Fairfax Hospital with the Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services Department, providing inpatient services and consults in all areas of the facility for the last 5 years. Major clients are patients dealing with substance abuse and withdrawal in the acute care setting. The goal is to motivate patients to become sober and detoxify with the least discomfort possible and to encourage attachment to aftercare and follow -up post hospitalization. Andrea educates providers and nurses in all areas regarding withdrawal management.
Andrea has presented to many areas at Inova and other organizations to include fellow peer advanced practitioner providers (APPs) at the Veterans Association, CME presentation for providers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Inova perinatal nurses, and APP Transition into Practice Program bi-annually.
Andrea serves on the Opiate Stewardship Committee and previously served on the Hospital Enhancement/SBIRT workgroup. She was also previously served as Secretary for the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.
Andrea has 33 years in the nursing field and holds a masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a doctorate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Andrea precepts for a Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner student at Inova and hopes to encourage others to be successful. She also acts a resource to psychiatric residents from George Washington University who rotate through Inova’s detoxification unit.
Andrea previously worked in cardiology, occupational health, and family practice and served 11 years in the United States Army Reserves. She is a Veteran of Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield.
