- System APP Director for Inova Health System/ Medicine Service Line APP Director: Inova Health System Falls Church Virginia. May 2021 to present. Administrative responsibilities including serving as an expert on advanced practice providers (PA’s, NP’s, CRNA’s, and CNM). Working with Inova senior leadership, Service Lines, and hospital leaders and provide advice on the overall coordination and management of APPs throughout the health system. Engage System, facility, and service line leaders to enhance recruitment, retention, and appropriate utilization of resources. Working with leaders to ensure Inova is positioned to comply with national, state, and local laws and regulations for APPs, including but not limited to appropriate: scope of practice, credentialing, privileging, ongoing/focused professional practice evaluation, prescriptive authority, role and relationships with collaborating physicians, billing, competencies, and professional development. Responsibilities include management of Medical Critical Care Services across Inova hospitals including Advanced Practice Provider (NP and PA) staff.
