Rebecca Begtrup, D.O., M.P.H., is an attending psychiatrist at Children's National Hospital. She completed a triple board residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, in general pediatrics, adult psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry, where she served as the chief resident for two years. Dr. Begtrup completed a fellowship in eating disorders psychiatry at the University of Maryland and Sheppard Pratt’s Center for Eating Disorders, 2012-2013. She then continued as an attending psychiatrist at the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt Health System through 2016 in both the inpatient and partial hospital settings. Dr. Begtrup then joined the outpatient psychiatry team at Children’s National. She is the director of the Behavioral Health Eating Disorders Program. Her areas of expertise are in feeding and eating disorders and integrated/embedded mental healthcare.
