Ann Kane, MD
Dr. Kane obtained her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and a pediatric residency at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell. She completed her pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital. Her first job following her fellowship was at Children's National Medical Center. In 2013, she joined Johns Hopkins, where she is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and an attending physician within the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Her career has largely focused on administrative efforts to identify and address clinical operations challenges, with a special concentration on quality improvement initiatives. She has held various titles within the PEM division including Physician Liaison for Informatics, Director of Quality and Safety and Director of Clinical Operations. She currently serves as the Medical Director of Quality for the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. In this role, she oversees and supports the Children's Center's Quality and Safety efforts through her knowledge of operations and safety vulnerabilities.
