Jehan (Gigi) El-Bayoumi, MD, FACP

Dr. Jehan (Gigi) El-Bayoumi attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for both Undergraduate and Medical School. After completion of her residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine, she was appointed faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine. Over the course of 3 decades at GW.
In 2013, she established the Rodham Institute which is dedicated to improving Health Equity in Washington D.C. In partnership with community members and leaders, non-profit organizations , and faith based institutions, the Rodham Institute has been tackling numerous challenges in the nation’s capital. Predominantly African American wards 7 and 8, not only have some of the highest health disparities in the United States but match those of some of the poorest countries in the world.
As of 2023, the Rodham Institute is now at the Georgetown University School of Medicine
During the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. El-Bayoumi participated in establishing a national organization, the Black Coalition Against Covid, of which she is a Board Member.
Dr. El-Bayoumi has dedicated her career to Medical Education, and to providing holistic and compassionate care. She has been duly recognized with numerous local and national awards, as well as inclusion in international fora
