Kelly Kendall, PT, DPT is a Physical Therapist with 10 years of experience in the Acute Care setting, and 6 years working with patients in the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary settings. In her current setting at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, she works closely with patients in the CVICU and CICU who have undergone a wide variety of surgeries and require various mechanical support devices including IABP, Impella, ECMO, Centrimag, and LVAD. She has collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based policy changes system-wide, including the transition from Sternal Precautions to Move in the Tube, updating the system policy for femoral lines and tubes as a complete contraindication to mobility, and developing ECMO mobility protocols.
