Advanced Lung Disease and Transplant Fellow, Inova Health System

Jared completed medical school at Washington University in St. Louis followed by residency at the University of Michigan, where he stayed on as a hospitalist before relocating to the DC area. He worked as a hospitalist here at Inova Fairfax before moving to Los Angeles to complete a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UCLA. He returns to Inova for further training in advanced lung disease and lung transplantation and will continue on afterward with the Advanced Lung Disease group. His interests span ILD, pulmonary hypertension, and lung transplantation. He remains active in medical education, having previously taught the Inova Fairfax residency program evidence-based medicine and point-of-care ultrasound courses and was  twice voted teaching faculty of the year by the Inova internal medicine residency program as well as teaching fellow of the year by the UCLA internal medicine residency program. In his free time he is an enthusiastic enophile, intrepid travel, and ardent bibliophile.
